Everything works great and stereo sounds FANTASTIC. Equalizer dials all work properly and I was super impressed at the amount of adjustment in range there is.
Here is a small list of quirks . Power button has a slightly " off " tactile feel. You almost sort of have to give it a slight wiggle when powering on or off . I don't quite have the words to describe this... It doesnt really feel like a flaw just a tiny bit quirky. Does not have a "click" feel .
The cd player . Upon initially loading a cd , i put in a very beat up old ICP CD. It failed to read and said " no disc" . Ok , sort of expected that. Put in a nearly new ella fitgerald disc and it did the same thing , which I wasn't expecting . Pulled it out , gave the eye a slight wipe , put the Ella Fitzgerald disc back in and it played perfectly. Started it and stopped it MANY times to be sure , then listened to the entire disc twice through while listing . Sounded and played amazing . Put beat up icp disc in and it read and played for half a song and errored . I think the lens was simply dirty and thats it but wanted to disclose that it did initially fail.
Tape player . First off, I remember tapes sounding A LOT worse than this . Put in an old Madonna tape and it sounded awesome! I remember cassettes being too quiet and hissy . This was neither. Crystal clear and just as pronounced volume as cd. HOWEVER .. rewind doesnt work when a tape is in . It works if you hold down the vutton without a tape in but foes nothing if a tape is inserted. All other functions work great. Play, fast forward etc .
RADIO tuner functions perfectly and stations were easy to dial in and clear. Antenna is not bent or broken.
Speakers detach and slide back into place properly and original wires are still in place and unbroken .
Very nice stereo overall . Id give it a condition rating of 8.6 / 10
