The Sony CFD-980 Sports series boombox includes a CD player, digitally synthesized AM/FM stereo tuner, and cassette deck. Splash resistant and made of rugged high-impact plastic, Sony's Mega Bass delivers a robust sound while its one-bit digital-to-analog converter reduces distortion.
The single-disc CD player has 20-track programming and multiple playback modes. An AM/FM tuner provides drift-free tuning with 20 station presets (10 AM and 10 FM). This boombox's full-function cassette deck features auto power-off as well as stereo recording and playback.
